Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how DoodleGuesser handles information when you use the website and multiplayer drawing game.
Information you provide
When you play DoodleGuesser, you may provide a nickname, room code, chat messages, guesses, drawings, reactions, and feedback form responses.
Do not share sensitive personal information in nicknames, chat messages, drawings, or feedback.
Game data
Room state, player names, scores, chat messages, guesses, drawing strokes, and game events are processed so the multiplayer game can run in real time.
Leaderboard and match result data may be stored after a completed game to show rankings and recent performance.
When a drawing is correctly guessed, it may be automatically shared to the public Gallery page along with the drawer’s chosen name. The drawer can remove it from the Gallery at any time from the results screen. Drawings that nobody guessed are never added to the Gallery.
Server location and latency
When a room is created, we record the room code together with the approximate location of that request (continent and country) and the Cloudflare data center that handled it. This tells us where the room’s real-time server was placed.
We use this only to measure and reduce the delay between one player drawing and everyone else seeing it, and to decide how rooms should be matched. It is stored per room rather than per player, and is not linked to your nickname, chat messages, or drawings.
Analytics and feedback tools
We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand site usage, performance, and usability. These tools may collect device, browser, interaction, and approximate location information according to their own policies.
We use Tally for feedback forms. If you submit feedback, the information you enter in that form is sent to Tally.
Google AdSense, Cookies, and Advertising Disclosures
We use Google AdSense and third-party advertising partners to serve advertisements when you visit our website.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies, web beacons, and other unique identifiers to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites on the Internet.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to DoodleGuesser and/or other sites on the Internet.
Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (https://www.google.com/settings/ads) or by visiting www.aboutads.info.
You can also manage or opt out of third-party cookie usage for interest-based advertising by visiting Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page at http://optout.networkadvertising.org/.
Local storage and browser features
The site may use browser storage for preferences such as language, sound settings, and game experience state.
If you use sharing or clipboard features, your browser may ask for permission before completing the action.
How we use information
We use information to provide rooms, real-time drawing, chat, scoring, quick join, leaderboards, abuse prevention, debugging, analytics, and product improvement.
We do not sell personal information.
Data retention
Temporary room data may be removed when a room becomes empty or expires. Match results and analytics data may be kept longer so the leaderboard, product analytics, and service reliability can work.
Feedback submitted through Tally may remain available in the feedback tool until it is deleted by us.
Third-party services
DoodleGuesser may load services from Cloudflare, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Tally, Google AdSense, and listing or badge providers shown in the footer.
Those services process data under their own privacy policies and security practices.
