Terms of Service

DoodleGuesser is a free browser game: multiplayer rooms, Solo Draw, a public Gallery with a guessing mode, a leaderboard and a feedback board. There are no accounts and no paid features.

We may change, pause or remove features at any time. Games can be interrupted by network problems, server restarts or maintenance, and rooms, scores or drawings in progress may be lost. We do not guarantee that the service is always available.

DoodleGuesser is for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. Children under 13 should only play with a parent, guardian or teacher supervising. If the law where you live sets a higher age for using online services on your own, that age applies.

Nobody, of any age, should share personal information in nicknames, chat, drawings, word lists or feedback.

Harassment, bullying, threats or encouraging someone to harm themselves or others.

Hateful content that attacks people for their race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or similar characteristics.

Sexual or pornographic content, and graphic violence.

Sharing personal information — your own or anyone else’s — such as full names, phone numbers, addresses, school names, social media accounts or photos.

Links or text meant to spread malware, phishing, scams, spam or advertising.

Pretending to be another player, a public figure or the DoodleGuesser team.

Content you do not have the right to share, including copies of other people’s artwork.

Anything illegal where you or other players are.

Cheating: writing the answer, letters or numbers on the canvas, or passing answers to others in public rooms.

Bots or scripts, attempts to overload the service, bypass its limits or access data you are not meant to see, and bulk copying of the Gallery.

You are responsible for what you type. Common offensive words are masked automatically, but the filter does not catch everything, so please report or leave rooms where people break these rules.

Do not use a nickname that impersonates someone or contains personal information. Nicknames appear to other players, on the leaderboard and, for shared drawings, in the public Gallery.

Hosts of private rooms can add a custom word list. The host is responsible for it, and it must follow the rules above — no slurs, sexual terms, personal information or names used to target real people.

A custom word list is only visible to players in that room, is never shared to the Gallery, and is deleted together with the room.

Anyone can join a public room through Quick join, so you may be playing with strangers. Be respectful and assume other players may be children.

In public rooms, players who stay inactive for several turns are removed automatically, and drawings that someone guesses correctly are shared to the public Gallery with the drawer’s nickname. The room shows a notice about this before the game.

Anyone who has the link or room code can join a private room, so share it only with people you want to play with. The host decides who stays and can remove players at any time.

Private rooms are not listed and their drawings are not shared to the Gallery, but the rules on this page still apply.

The host starts the game and, in private rooms, sets the rounds, word choices and word list. Hosts should not remove players unfairly; players should not abuse the report button.

During a game, guessers can report the current drawing. When at least half of them, and at least 2, report it, the turn is cancelled and the drawer is removed from the room.

You keep ownership of your drawings. By drawing in a room, you allow the other players in that room to see your drawing. When your drawing is shared to the Gallery (a correctly guessed public-room drawing, or a Solo Draw drawing you save), you give us a free, worldwide permission to store it and show it on the site, including in the Gallery guessing mode, until it is deleted.

You can delete a shared drawing from the results screen or from the Gallery in the same browser, or by email. Gallery content must follow section 3.

Use Report in the game or in the Gallery. A Gallery drawing reported from 3 different networks is hidden automatically. Reports are not reviewed by a person in real time; for urgent problems — personal information, threats or illegal content — email hello@doodleguesser.com.

We may hide or delete drawings, feedback posts or leaderboard entries, remove players or close rooms that break these terms, without notice.

There are no accounts, so there is currently no ban system. To stop abuse we may rate-limit requests, and we may block an IP address or network from parts of the service.

The feedback board is public. Do not post personal information there. We may use suggestions you post to improve the game without owing you anything.

Content pages may show ads served by Google AdSense. Ads are not loaded inside game rooms. We are not responsible for advertisers’ products or for other websites linked from ours.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost scores, rooms or drawings. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that cannot be limited.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and using the site after a change means you accept it.
